After the explosion of the Arsenal in Balakleya in Ukraine remains enough ammunition to ensure the normal operation of the army.
This was stated by the Minister of defence Stepan Poltorak at a press briefing on March 30.
“Significant harm that would affect the state of combat readiness of the Armed forces, this event is not caused. But, of course, significant losses. The forces and means that are in a zone of carrying out anti-terrorist operation, fully provided with ammunition, weapons and equipment. In other warehouses and bases enough weapons and ammunition to carry out operations in the area ATO”, – said Poltorak.
According to him, in the warehouses in Balakleya survived more than 30% of weapons. Mostly scarce for Ukraine.
On the night of March 23 in Balakleya in Kharkiv region military base exploded, Ukraine’s largest Arsenal of weapons. The military Prosecutor’s office, the main version of the incident was called a diversion.
Residents of nearby settlements evacuated.
