60% of Ukrainian people living below the poverty line.
This was stated by the permanent representative of the United Nations development programme in Ukraine Neal Walker, writes UNN.
“In Ukraine, 1.7 million internally displaced, 2.8 million people with disabilities, 60% of the population live below the poverty line”, he said.
National income per Ukrainian has dropped for 25 years by a third, says the Institute of demography. According to the UN, in developed countries, about 300 million people live below the poverty line.
Bloomberg left the Ukraine in the top ten most poor countries. The Ukraine was in 7th place.
