The attackers are preparing a new large-scale cyber attack in Ukraine. Taking aim at government agencies and large private companies.
This was announced by the security Service of Ukraine.
“The specialists of security service of Ukraine received information that an attack can carry out with use of updates, including publicly available software. The mechanism of its implementation will be similar to the cyber attack, conducted in June 2017,” said spetsslujbami.
The hacker’s goal is to disrupt information systems. If it is reached, the situation in Ukraine can be destabilised.
Not to get caught on the hook of the intruders, you should follow the recommendations of the SBU:
1. To update the signatures of anti-virus software on servers and workstations.
2. To make reservation information, which is processed on computer equipment.
3. To ensure daily update of the system software, including Windows OS without exception, all the versions.

Among the major Ukrainian companies and institutions affected by cyber attack – Ukrenergo, Kievenergo, the network of filling stations WOG, the website of “Naftogaz of Ukraine”, the airport “Borispol” Ukrtelecom, “New mail”, Oschadbank, and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
