In Ukraine launched a new quality standard for LPG

February 1 in Ukraine entered into force a new standard of quality of autogas.

“Today in Ukraine began to operate a new standard of quality of autogas. It requirements significantly above the current DSTU. So, under the new rules the sulfur content in the fuels must not exceed 50 grams per ton. In addition, it should be free water at a temperature of zero degrees Celsius and reduced the number of unsaturated hydrocarbons”, – said the analyst consulting company UPECO Alexander Sirenko, writes UNIAN.

The expert noted that many trading companies and manufacturers of liquefied natural gas have already translated the quality of its product to the highest level. They have switched from using mark “a Mixture of propane-butane technical” to grade “Propane-butane automobile”.

“It is common for an emerging market – first increasing, and then increases the quality. Many traders and producers have prepared in advance and the client has switched to using high-quality goods brand PAP”, – said Sirenko.

In the last week of August 2017 automotive gas in Ukraine rose to a record. Prices reached 16,49-to 16.99 UAH/liter. According to experts, the situation has arisen from-for deficiency of fuel. Since early September, prices for liquefied gas declined. At the end of January 2018 autogas costs an average of 13.39 UAH/liter.
