Kyiv appeal administrative court upheld the refusal of the State migration service to grant refugee status or person who needs complementary protection, the ex-President of Georgia To Mikheil Saakashvili.
The decision at the meeting on 5 February announced the presiding judge Andrew Short, reports “Ukrainska Pravda”
“The court ruled: the appeal of GMS and Saakashvili to leave unsatisfied, and the decision of the County court from 3 January to rest,” said the judge Short.
The decision in stepping into force on 5 February.
One of the defenders of Saakashvili Ruslan Chernolutsky said that the decision gives authorities “many reasons” to implement plans for “possible illegal removal of Saakashvili from the country and possible illegal extradition.”
The lawyer also assured that the decision challenged in cassation.
At the beginning of the meeting, the lawyer once again said that he does not trust the panel of judges, because they did not receive a full package of documents on the automatic allocation of judges.
Also lawyers Saakashvili asked the court to defer consideration of an appeal in connection with a number of other trials, but the court in this motion was denied.
Saakashvili himself has called the court “Razsadnika”.
In July 2017, President Petro Poroshenko has deprived the Ukrainian citizenship by Saakashvili.
The basis called that in 2015, Saakashvili pointed out alleged false information in the application for citizenship and did not specify information on the record.
The politician denied that he signed on to such a questionnaire.
