The Minister explained why employers should pay more

The current Ukrainian taxes allow employers to raise salaries.

“The payroll in 2016, the unified social contribution was reduced by 40%. And to say that today taxes strangled the employers in terms of remuneration, it would be an exaggeration,” said Minister of social policy Andrei Reva, transfers “observer”.

He noted that the Ukrainians did not go to work abroad – we need to pay more.

“In the budget sector increase in wages does the power. In a private – to hire qualified people is almost impossible,” commented Reva.

Speaking about the structure of the value of the goods, the official compared Poland and Ukraine. In Poland the share of wages is 50%. In Ukraine – no more than 10%.

“We need a little bit of their income share and to raise the salaries of people who were skilled workers”, – concluded the Minister.

According to the law on the state budget for the year 2018, the Cabinet on the results of the first quarter of 2018, will consider the possibility of raising the minimum wage in the country up to 4200 UAH. From 1 January 2018, the minimum wage is UAH 3723. Previously it was RS 3200.
