Viktor Yanukovych 3.48% beat Yulia Tymoshenko in the presidential race

Eight years ago, February 7, 2010, Viktor Yanukovych defeated in the elections of the President of Ukraine.

The day held a second round of voting, the results of which Yanukovych was ahead Yulia Tymoshenko with a margin of 3.48%. The future President was supported by 12 million citizens, or 48,95%.

In the first round, Yanukovych got 35,32% of votes, ranking first among 18 candidates.

 

First, Tymoshenko tried to challenge the results in court. On February 14 the Central election Commission has registered the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych.

19 February, the Verkhovna Rada ahead of schedule stopped powers of the people’s Deputy Viktor Yanukovych in connection with the submitted them to the appropriate application. The inauguration took place on 25 February.

After the mass executions of the revolution of dignity in the center of Kiev in February 2014 Viktor Yanukovych fled to Russia. Lives in Rostov-on-don. With his wife Lyudmila divorced. Lives with ex-lover Love Polezhay – the sister of his cook from Mezhyhirya. According to media reports, in Russia they had a son.

In Ukraine against Yanukovych opened several criminal proceedings. He is accused of mass killings of citizens, misappropriation of state property, the seizure of power by unconstitutional means, the actions aimed at overthrowing the constitutional order.
