The Prosecutor from the United States, who represented the prosecution at the trial of former Prime Minister Pavel Lazarenko, Mar Soup withdrew his candidacy for the position of independent auditor’s National anti-corruption Bureau.

About this in Facebook wrote the MP Yegor Sobolev.

“Marta the Borsch, which was accused Lazarenko on behalf of the United States, asks not to consider her candidacy for auditor of the anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine. Received a letter from her in the night,” he said.

“If the appointment took place last year, I’d had the time and opportunity to do this work. But now my work commitments don’t allow me to take on this responsibility”, – said in the letter.

“Last year, when I was the head of the parliamentary Committee for countering corruption, we have nominated the Soup for appointment as auditor of NABOO from the Verkhovna Rada. Other our Parliament – a Spanish Prosecutor Carlos Castresana who headed UN-educated anti-corruption Tribunal for Guatemala. This court has jailed a corrupt President and half the MPs. But the President and the majority of MPs are seeking to appoint auditor NABOO dependent person”, – concluded the MP.

21 March 2017, the Verkhovna Rada voted for the auditor to NABOO. Of the BPP and “Narodniy front” then supported the candidacy of Briton Nigel brown. Then the Parliament failed to elect the auditor.
