From Russia fired on Ukrainian border guards

8 February in the Luhansk region fired at the Ukrainian military. The shelling was conducted from the territory of the Russian Federation.

“Around 12:30 near the village of Ushakovka (the territory of the Russian Federation) was carried out a provocative attack with application of small arms in the direction of the departments ensuring the protection of the state border of Ukraine. The soldiers were not injured. Return fire was not opened”, – stated in the message.

The staff noted that this attack violates the regime of the state border and endangering the lives of soldiers.

Russia has deployed in Kaliningrad region, near the border with Poland and Lithuania, the operational-tactical missile complexes “Iskander”, which can carry a nuclear warhead. They will leave there on a permanent basis.

Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite has warned that it threatens half of the European States.
