The detained former MP Alexander Shepelev suspected of treason. He found the identity “of the Ministry of state security” DNR.

This was reported by press Secretary of the Prosecutor General Larisa Sargan in Facebook.

“February 8, 2018, the person was detained by employees of security Service of Ukraine. When a detainee found a number of documents, including the certificate of the employee of the so-called “ministries of state security Donetsk people’s Republic”, – said the Gar.

Among the confiscated Shepeleva documents – passport in the name Nicholas Boruch.

Now Pechersk district court of Kyiv to the detainee elects a measure of restraint. The Prosecutor’s office asks for him the custody.

Former MP Oleksandr Shepelev accused of contract killings, embezzlement and misappropriation of property, money laundering, vehicle theft, escape from prison.

On the night of July 6, 2014, he, along with the escort fled the emergency hospital where he was treated after being extradited and detained. Case against ex-MP was initiated in 2012.

In the summer of 2014 the Ukrainian law enforcement agencies announced Shepelev is on the international wanted list. In the autumn of the same year the Pechersky regional court of Kiev issued a warrant for the arrest of ex-MP. In 2015 Ukraine appealed to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation with a request for extradition Shepeleva. The Russian Federation officially refused.

Chief military Prosecutor Anatoly Matios in August reported that former MP Oleksandr Shepelev agreed to work on the FSS, the result of which was opened against him a criminal case under article “treason”.
